Online music tools that run on your device
Most online music tools ask you to upload a song, wait in a queue and pay for the download. These do the work in your browser instead. Your file never leaves your device, so an unreleased demo stays private, and we have no server bill that would make us put a limit on you.
That is the idea behind the whole collection: the small jobs every producer does all the time, done well, for free, in one place.
AI music tools, only where AI is really running
Some of these tools run neural networks on your device, like splitting a song into stems or turning audio into MIDI notes. The first time you use one, the browser downloads the model and keeps it for next time.
The rest, like the LUFS meter, the spectrum analyzer and tap tempo, are plain signal processing and maths. We do not call something AI when it is not, and each page says which kind it is.
Tools for producers, from the first stem to the final master
Split a reference to hear how it is built, find its tempo and key, sketch the chords, turn a hummed idea into MIDI, then check your own mix on the loudness meter. When it is ready, OBRA Audio Mastering and online mixing are one click away, also free to try and also in your browser.
Free and in beta
Every tool here is in beta. They are new, they are improving every week and some will have rough edges. If something breaks or you miss a feature, write to info@obra.art and tell us what happened. It helps more than you think.
What you get

- Works with audio and video files, on desktop and on phones
- Neural networks where they help (stems, audio to MIDI), plain signal processing where they do not
- Made by OBRA, the home of producers' credits and the team behind OBRA Audio Mastering

Frequently asked questions
Are these music production tools really free?
Yes. You can use every tool without paying and without creating an account. We are in beta and want producers to try them, send feedback and tell us what to build next.
Is my music uploaded to a server?
No. The tools run in your browser, so the file you drop is processed on your own device and is not sent to us. A tool may download its code and, for the AI tools, a model, once. Your audio is never part of that.
What are AI music tools and which of yours use AI?
AI music tools use neural networks trained on lots of music to do things that are hard to write as rules, like separating a voice from a mix or recognizing notes. Our stem tools and audio to MIDI use neural networks that run on your device. The meters and tap tempo are standard signal processing, and each page says which one it is.
What does Beta mean?
It means the tool works but is new. Results can be imperfect, some devices will be slower than others and we change things often. It stays free while we improve it.
Which browsers and devices work?
Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, on a computer or a phone. The AI tools are much faster in browsers with WebGPU (recent Chrome, Edge and Safari) and on a computer than on an old phone.
Can I use the results in my own releases?
The files are yours and so are the results, but only drop music you have the right to use. For a sample or a stem of someone else's song, clearing it is up to you.
How do these tools connect with OBRA Mastering and mixing?
They are separate and free to try. Split or analyze a track here, then master it on OBRA Audio Mastering or mix a beat and a vocal on OBRA online mixing. Both run in your browser too.
A tool I need is missing. Can I ask for it?
Yes. Email info@obra.art with what you would like and why. The next tools are chosen from what producers ask for.
Making music? Put your credits on one link.
OBRA is where producers show their work: your credits and verified streams on one page, updated every day.
