What you ask
In BRAVO's chat, or from your own AI once it is connected:
- What is too loud in this project?
- Master these 10 songs to −14 for Spotify.
- Open the vocal in TUNE.
- Learn from my Ableton projects.
What you get back
- The job done on your files, with a summary of what BRAVO measured: loudness in LUFS, true peak and tone by band.
- Every change in the project as one undo step.
- No generated audio: everything that comes out started as audio you brought.
How to do it
- Join the list and install BRAVO. BRAVO is a free beta for Mac with Apple Silicon, opening by waves. Join the list on obra.art/bravo; when your wave opens you get one email with the download.
- Drop your audio into BRAVO's chat. Open BRAVO and press Home. Drop the audio into the chat and say what you want in your own words. Your own AI can ask for the same job once it is connected.
- Or ask from the AI you already use. Switch on «Connect your AI» in Settings and add BRAVO to Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. Your AI then reads the project and asks BRAVO for the job.
- Allow it on your project. The first time your AI touches a project, BRAVO asks whether that app may work on it. Allow it once per project; «Revoke all» in the same panel takes every permission back.
- Check what it did. BRAVO reports what changed and what it measured. Listen, keep it, ask for a change or undo.
How BRAVO's AI works
BRAVO's AI does not guess from your words alone. It reads the project, asks BRAVO what is possible, runs the job and then renders and measures the result. Its judge names what is wrong first, what is fine and the fixes.
| Move | What it does |
|---|---|
| LOOK | Reads the project as it is: tracks, their chains and clips, tempo and what is selected. |
| CAN | Answers «what can I do with this?» with the exact actions available. |
| DO | Runs the job as one undo step and reports what changed. |
| ASK | Answers a question about the project in plain text. |
The same moves are what Claude, Codex and Cursor use through the connector, so the result does not depend on which assistant asks.
What it does not do
- It does not generate songs, melodies, beats or vocals. It works on the audio you bring.
- It hears through BRAVO's measurements and renders, not with ears. Trust your own listening for the final call.
- Connected apps cannot record from your microphone, open other projects or change BRAVO's settings.
Limits
- Your own AI needs BRAVO open on the same Mac: the connector answers only on 127.0.0.1.
- Mixing your stems, a vocal over a beat and a beat from your samples are not in the beta yet.
- Beta: Mac with Apple Silicon only. Windows comes later.
- Access opens by waves from the waiting list.
- BRAVO works on the audio you bring. It does not generate songs.
Frequently asked questions
Does an AI DAW make the music for me?
BRAVO does not. It does the technical jobs on your audio, such as mastering, stems, mix feedback and exports, and leaves the music to you.
Do I need a paid AI account?
No. BRAVO's own chat works on its own; its built-in AI has a daily allowance, larger with OBRA PRO. Connecting Claude, Codex or Cursor is optional and runs on your own account with them.
Is my audio sent to the AI?
The audio stays on your Mac. BRAVO answers your AI with text: the project state, measurements and results.
Which assistants work today?
Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, through «Connect your AI».
