What you ask
In BRAVO's chat, or from your own AI once it is connected:
- Master this song for Spotify.
- Separate the vocals from the beat.
- Judge this mix: what are the three things that hurt it most?
- Export stems.
What you get back
- A DAW on your Mac: an arrangement view with tracks and clips, a mixer and BRAVO's own instruments and effects.
- Jobs done on your audio: a master at the loudness you ask for (−14 LUFS by default) as a 24-bit WAV, four stems from a mixed song, a judged mix with its fixes, one WAV per track for another app.
- Every change in a project as one undo step.
How to do it
- Join the list and install BRAVO. BRAVO is a free beta for Mac with Apple Silicon, opening by waves. Join the list on obra.art/bravo; when your wave opens you get one email with the download.
- Check your Mac. BRAVO needs a Mac with Apple Silicon. Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac: the chip line says Apple M1 or a later M chip. A Mac with Intel cannot run the beta.
- Drop your audio into BRAVO's chat. Open BRAVO and press Home. Drop the audio into the chat and say what you want in your own words. Your own AI can ask for the same job once it is connected.
- Ask for one job. Start with something you need today: a master, the stems of a song or what fails in a mix. BRAVO runs it on your Mac and shows the progress.
- Listen, keep or undo. Listen in BRAVO, keep the file, ask for a change in your own words or undo the step.
What BRAVO does today
These are the jobs of the current beta. Each one has its own guide with what to ask and its limits.
| Job | What you get |
|---|---|
| Master a song or an album | BRAVO's own master chain at the loudness you ask for (−14 LUFS by default), true peak at −1 dBTP or lower, 24-bit WAV. |
| Process a folder | Every file of a folder you choose at the same loudness and peak, as WAV or FLAC, with a report. |
| Separate stems | Vocals, drums, bass and the rest of a mixed song, as four WAVs, separated on your Mac. |
| Judge a mix | Up to three things that fail, and how to fix each one. |
| Tune a vocal | Your vocal opened in TUNE, for natural pitch correction by ear. |
| Learn your sound | What you use in your Ableton Live and FL Studio projects, read on your computer. |
| Export stems | One 24-bit WAV per track, all from the same start. |
What your Mac needs
- A Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later). Intel Macs are not supported in the beta.
- An internet connection to sign in and for the built-in AI chat. The audio work itself runs on the Mac.
- Your own audio: a song, a recording, stems or samples you own. BRAVO does not generate songs.
Free, and what OBRA PRO adds
The beta is free: the app, its jobs and the connector for your own AI. BRAVO's built-in AI has a daily allowance, larger with OBRA PRO, the same subscription as the rest of OBRA. Mastering, exporting, stems and batches run on your Mac and use no AI.
Limits
- Mixing your stems, a vocal over a beat and a beat made from your samples are not in the beta yet.
- BRAVO reads Ableton Live and FL Studio projects to learn from them. It exports audio stems, not project files for other apps.
- The app is in English and Spanish.
- Beta: Mac with Apple Silicon only. Windows comes later.
- Access opens by waves from the waiting list.
- BRAVO works on the audio you bring. It does not generate songs.
