Batch-process a folder of audio with BRAVO

Some jobs are the same thing a hundred times: every sound effect of a game at one loudness, every podcast episode at the same level, a sample pack trimmed and consistent. Give BRAVO the files and the target and it writes them to a new folder.

In the BRAVO beta

What you ask

In BRAVO's chat, or from your own AI once it is connected:

  • Normalize these files to -14 LUFS with peaks at -1 dBTP.
  • Normalize these samples to -16 LUFS and trim the silence.
  • Normalize every file in ~/Podcast/raw to -16 LUFS as FLAC, into ~/Podcast/out.

What you get back

  • A new folder with the processed files, same names and subfolders. The originals are not touched, and files already in the output folder are not overwritten.
  • A report per file: loudness before and after, true peak, and any file that failed with the reason. It is also saved in the output folder as bravo-batch-report.md and .json.

How to do it

  1. Give BRAVO the files. In BRAVO's chat, drop the files and ask for a batch: BRAVO writes them to a new folder next to them. From your connected AI, name the folder to read and the folder to write.
  2. Set the target. Loudness in LUFS (−14 by default), true peak ceiling (−1 dBTP by default) and, if you want, silence trimming. From your AI you can also pick the format: 16-bit WAV, 24-bit WAV (the default) or FLAC.
  3. Run and read the report. BRAVO shows progress file by file. A file that fails does not stop the batch: it appears in the report with the reason.

Limits

  • Each file is processed on its own: a batch does not make different songs sound alike, it sets them to the same targets.
  • Very short sounds have little to measure; their loudness reading is less precise.
  • BRAVO writes WAV and FLAC, not MP3.
  • Beta: Mac with Apple Silicon only. Windows comes later.
  • Access opens by waves from the waiting list.
  • BRAVO works on the audio you bring. It does not generate songs.

Frequently asked questions

Can my coding agent run a batch?

Yes. From Codex, Cursor or Claude Code, through the connector; the agent gets the same report.

Which formats can it write?

16-bit WAV, 24-bit WAV and 24-bit FLAC. It reads WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3 and the other audio formats BRAVO opens.

BRAVO is a free beta for Mac with Apple Silicon. Access opens by waves from the list.
