Bio

Wassu is a New York City-based producer and DJ at the forefront of the city's organic and progressive house scene. Built on a classical foundation — piano and brass instruments through his school and college years — he crafts melody-laced, deeply groove-driven productions that he describes as 'an unrelenting hunt for the secret sauce,' welcoming dancers as partners on the journey. Since picking up DJing in 2016 after moving to NYC, he has developed a signature sound spanning organic, melodic, deep and progressive house, with releases on tastemaker labels including Anjunadeep and All Day I Dream. His music has earned support from Above & Beyond, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, and he has shared bills with the likes of Maceo Plex and Nora En Pure. Collaborations with Marsh, David Orin and djimboh round out a deep catalog of 60+ singles and EPs, with fresh 2026 releases including 'Mindful' (May 2026), 'Dreaming Awake / Ecstasy' and the 'Blue Meadow' EP.
