sunflwr is the project of Los Angeles-based producer Lucas Hanson. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, he grew up playing bass and piano before falling for electronic music in his late teens, shaped by influences like Gorillaz, Little Dragon, and Bonobo. After studying music in New York and a detour through a tech career, he returned to production in 2020 and began releasing as sunflwr. His sound is bright, emotive, deep, and sun-kissed, making him a recognizable voice in the lo-fi and jazz house scene. He has put out multiple EPs, singles, remixes, and collaborations, including 2025's 'heard it in a dream' and 'feel it yet?', and keeps up a steady release pace of dreamy house best suited for late-night drives. sunflwr also performs live, with shows across the US including dates at San Francisco's Public Works.
