Rex The Dog
Rex The Dog is the project of veteran British electronic producer Jake Williams (also known as JX), based in London. Since his debut EP 'Prototype' on Kompakt Records in 2004, he has built a singular catalogue of infectious, '90s-inspired electro, trancey house and acid — all made and performed live with analogue electronics and a self-built modular synthesizer. Beyond his own material on labels including Kompakt, Kitsuné, Southern Fried and Correspondant, he is a sought-after remixer, having reworked Robyn, Depeche Mode, Fever Ray, The Knife and Moby. His recent albums 'Sicko' and 'Teufelsberg' drew support from peers like Jennifer Cardini, Roman Flügel, Jackmaster and Kölsch, and he is a regular at venues such as Berlin's Panorama Bar. He remains highly active, with his latest single 'Far Out!' arriving in June 2026.
