Papa Nugs
Papa Nugs is the project of London-based producer, DJ, and label boss Joseph Nugent, originally from Milton Keynes. After discovering UK garage and house as a teenager, he built a reputation in Leeds running the Papa Nugs party series before moving into production during lockdown. His sound spans playful, bass-driven UK garage, breakbeat, acid house, and hard house — rooted in late-90s and early-2000s UK club culture but aimed squarely at modern dancefloors. He co-runs the Suckerpunch imprint with Oisin, releases on labels including Big Saldo's Chunkers and RAND Muzik, and has collaborated with artists such as DJ ADHD, IN2STELLAR, and The Trip. A Rinse FM resident, he has played Fabric, Glastonbury, Gottwood, The Cause, and tours regularly across Europe, Australia, and the US.
