After discovering UK garage and house as a teenager, he built a reputation in Leeds running the Papa Nugs party series before moving into production during lockdown. His sound spans playful, bass-driven UK garage, breakbeat, acid house, and hard house — rooted in late-90s and early-2000s UK club culture but aimed squarely at modern dancefloors. He co-runs the Suckerpunch imprint with Oisin, releases on labels including Big Saldo's Chunkers and RAND Muzik, and has collaborated with artists such as DJ ADHD, IN2STELLAR, and The Trip. A Rinse FM resident, he has played Fabric, Glastonbury, Gottwood, The Cause, and tours regularly across Europe, Australia, and the US. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/papa-nugs#artistas) 2.2M Total plays & views Projects20 Since2024 Verified streams · verified today 2,167,690 +2 K a day · +54 K a month, on average 20 projects · 15 artists · since 2024 spotify 100 % 2,167,690 81 days · Total ## Records [60K has passed 60,000 streams Keep Rocking - Hip House Edit The Trip, Papa Nugs 25 days ago](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/keep-rocking-hip-house-edit) [10K has passed 10,000 streams Golden Groove - Papa Nugs Remix ATST, Papa Nugs 25 days ago](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/golden-groove-papa-nugs-remix) [250K has passed 250,000 streams Keep Rocking - Casa Moda Edit The Trip, Papa Nugs 47 days ago](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/keep-rocking-casa-moda-edit) [100K has passed 100,000 streams Move It Or Lose It Papa Nugs 56 days ago](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/move-it-or-lose-it-2) Most played ## Most played [01 Keep Rocking - Casa Moda Edit The Trip, Papa Nugs 260.321 260 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/keep-rocking-casa-moda-edit) [02 Buss It DJ ADHD, Papa Nugs 208.992 209 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/buss-it-2) [03 Buss It DJ ADHD, Papa Nugs 208.992 209 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/buss-it) [04 Are U Ready - Radio Edit Papa Nugs 112.364 112 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/are-u-ready-radio-edit) [05 Fearsome - Edit The Trip, Papa Nugs 110.973 111 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/fearsome-edit) [06 Hyperdrive - Radio Edit Papa Nugs 108.241 108 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/hyperdrive-radio-edit) [07 Hyperdrive - Radio Edit Papa Nugs 108.241 108 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/hyperdrive-radio-edit-2) [08 Move It Or Lose It Papa Nugs 106.403 106 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/move-it-or-lose-it-2) [09 Move It Or Lose It Papa Nugs 106.403 106 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/move-it-or-lose-it) [10 132 In a Ford Escort Papa Nugs, Ho Gosh 98.947 99 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/132-in-a-ford-escort) Has worked with ## 15 artists. and 1 more Catalog ## 20 releases. 2026 4 [Let GoPapa Nugs, Mixolydian · 16 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/let-go) [Nug Nation Vol. IIIPapa Nugs · 30 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/nug-nation-vol-iii) 30 K [Sleepless NightsPapa Nugs, Sugar Bones · 11 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/sleepless-nights-2) [Golden Groove - Papa Nugs RemixATST, Papa Nugs · 11 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/golden-groove-papa-nugs-remix) 2025 7 [Eurogenic - Papa Nugs RemixHerr Krank, Deborah Aime La Bagarre, Papa Nugs · 12 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/eurogenic-papa-nugs-remix) [SUCKERPUNCH005Papa Nugs, Luke Alessi · 148 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/suckerpunch005) [SUCKERPUNCH004Papa Nugs, A For Alpha · 58 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/suckerpunch004) [Stars Above - Papa Nugs RemixSwoosh, bad tuner, Papa Nugs · 21 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/stars-above-papa-nugs-remix) [Move It Or Lose It EPPapa Nugs · 149 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/move-it-or-lose-it-ep) 149 K [Move It Or Lose ItPapa Nugs · 106 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/move-it-or-lose-it) [Keep RockingThe Trip, Papa Nugs · 521 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/keep-rocking) 521 K 2024 9 [Dance Floor Renovations 002Papa Nugs, Ho Gosh · 121 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/dance-floor-renovations-002) [Put It On EPPapa Nugs, IN2STELLAR · 88 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/put-it-on-ep) [Ce SoirPapa Nugs, IN2STELLAR · 56 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/ce-soir) [Nug Nation, Vol. IIPapa Nugs · 249 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/nug-nation-vol-ii) 249 K [Hyperdrive - Radio EditPapa Nugs · 108 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/hyperdrive-radio-edit-2) [PAPADHD (Remixes)DJ ADHD, Papa Nugs · 16 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/papadhd-remixes) [PAPADHDDJ ADHD, Papa Nugs · 227 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/papadhd) 227 K [Buss ItDJ ADHD, Papa Nugs · 209 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/buss-it) [Neon DazeHelle, Papa Nugs · 12 K](https://obra.art/papa-nugs/neon-daze) Catalog · Notes · Curatorial Bio Papa Nugs is the project of London-based producer, DJ, and label boss Joseph Nugent, originally from Milton Keynes.
