Ouri, born Ourielle Auvé, is a Montreal-based electronic producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist of mixed French and Afro-Caribbean descent who moved from France to Quebec at sixteen to study composition. Classically trained in piano, harp, and cello, she fuses orchestral instrumentation with industrial textures, club-oriented electronics, and avant-pop songwriting. She broke through via Montreal's underground rave scene and a 2018 MISM x Boiler Room set, later releasing the EP "We Share Our Blood" through Make It Rain Records and Ghostly International. Her debut album "Frame of a Fauna" (2021) was longlisted for the 2022 Polaris Music Prize. With Helena Deland she records as the duo Hildegard, whose 2024 LP "Jour 1596" was longlisted for the 2025 Polaris Prize. Her latest solo album "Daisy Cutter" (2025) features collaborations with Charlotte Day Wilson, Jonah Yano, Mobilegirl, Oli XL, Bamo Yendé, Cecil Believe, and Sea Oleena, and she currently hosts a show called "Drawing Doors" on NTS Radio.
