Bio

Onra (Arnaud Antoine René Bernard) is a French hip-hop beatmaker and DJ of Vietnamese heritage, based in Paris. Active since 2006, he is celebrated for globe-spanning, sample-driven instrumental hip-hop that fuses soul, funk, jazz and RnB into emotive, head-nodding beats. His landmark 'Chinoiseries' series — built almost entirely from vintage Chinese and Vietnamese vinyl he collected while traveling Asia — spans three volumes (2007, 2011, 2017) and became a cult touchstone of the international beat scene. His 2010 album 'Long Distance' on All City Records earned an 8.0 from Pitchfork and helped launch his global touring career after a 2008 Red Bull Music Academy residency in Barcelona. In 2018 he founded his own imprint, NBN Records, a subdivision of All City. Two decades in, he remains prolific and current: his latest album 'After Dark' arrived in April 2026, alongside the 2026 singles 'Lap Of Luxury' and 'That Kind Of Girl'.
