Active since 2006, he is celebrated for globe-spanning, sample-driven instrumental hip-hop that fuses soul, funk, jazz and RnB into emotive, head-nodding beats. His landmark 'Chinoiseries' series — built almost entirely from vintage Chinese and Vietnamese vinyl he collected while traveling Asia — spans three volumes (2007, 2011, 2017) and became a cult touchstone of the international beat scene. His 2010 album 'Long Distance' on All City Records earned an 8.0 from Pitchfork and helped launch his global touring career after a 2008 Red Bull Music Academy residency in Barcelona. In 2018 he founded his own imprint, NBN Records, a subdivision of All City. Two decades in, he remains prolific and current: his latest album 'After Dark' arrived in April 2026, alongside the 2026 singles 'Lap Of Luxury' and 'That Kind Of Girl'. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/onra#artistas) 134.7M Total plays & views Projects20 Since2008 Verified streams · verified today 134,727,244 +3 K a day · +102 K a month, on average 20 projects · 9 artists · since 2008 spotify 100 % 134,727,244 82 days · Total ## Records [300K has passed 300,000 streams Close Your Eyes And Remember Onra 48 days ago](https://obra.art/onra/close-your-eyes-and-remember) Most played ## Most played [01 Ms. Ho Onra 39.884.978 40 M](https://obra.art/onra/ms-ho) [02 Like The Seasons Onra 10.321.230 10 M](https://obra.art/onra/like-the-seasons) [03 Bye Bye Onra 7.899.886 7,9 M](https://obra.art/onra/bye-bye) [04 The Anthem - Unreleased Extended Version Onra 6.781.711 6,8 M](https://obra.art/onra/the-anthem-unreleased-extended-version) [05 Where I'm From Onra 3.919.047 3,9 M](https://obra.art/onra/where-im-from) [06 Tea Vender On the Street Onra 2.834.936 2,8 M](https://obra.art/onra/tea-vender-on-the-street) [07 Relax in Mui Ne Onra 2.371.256 2,4 M](https://obra.art/onra/relax-in-mui-ne) [08 Will I See You Again Onra 2.230.059 2,2 M](https://obra.art/onra/will-i-see-you-again) [09 Still Broke Onra 2.091.591 2,1 M](https://obra.art/onra/still-broke) [10 Pearl Song Onra 1.933.351 1,9 M](https://obra.art/onra/pearl-song) Has worked with ## 9 artists.
