Bio

Jimmy Dunne, known as Nogymx, is an Irish-born artist/producer based in South Korea. Renowned for his mix of traditional sounds from his adopted home, old-school boom bap, and ethereal soundscapes, he has carved a distinctive lane in instrumental hip hop and chillhop. Drawing inspiration from Nujabes, Uyama Hiroto, Emancipator, and J Dilla — and described by Stereofox as floating in a cross-genre sweet spot between Bonobo and Freddie Joachim — his catalog spans 200+ songs and collaborations with Saib, Tenno, softy, Kalaido, and more. Supported by Lofi Girl, Hip Dozer, Chill Beats, and The Jazz Hop Cafe, with 100M+ streams and placement on hundreds of thousands of playlists, he also created an official Assassin's Creed Shadows remix (The Fujibayashi Legacy) in 2025. Recent releases include the 2025 album On the Verge of Colour, the March 2026 EP In the Time It Takes to Wonder, and the June 2026 single trying to remember, with a vinyl LP (Vagrant Winds) planned for Autumn 2026.
