Mangabey
Mangabey is the project of producer José Fehner, a French artist who has been driven by synthesizers and drum machines since an early age. His sound fuses Afro-American music and jazz improvisation with the raw energy of 90's Chicago house — a melodic, groove-led 'analogique house' built for the dancefloor. Known for eclectic, instrumental live performances, he has played festivals including Nuits Sonores, We Love Green, Peacock Society and Weekend des Curiosités. His jazz-tinged club sound has appeared on respected labels such as Toy Tonics and Cracki Records, and in 2024 he launched his own imprint, José Records, dedicated to the underground electronic spirit of the 1990s. He continues to release prolifically, with new material landing as recently as June 2026.
