His sound fuses Afro-American music and jazz improvisation with the raw energy of 90's Chicago house — a melodic, groove-led 'analogique house' built for the dancefloor. Known for eclectic, instrumental live performances, he has played festivals including Nuits Sonores, We Love Green, Peacock Society and Weekend des Curiosités. His jazz-tinged club sound has appeared on respected labels such as Toy Tonics and Cracki Records, and in 2024 he launched his own imprint, José Records, dedicated to the underground electronic spirit of the 1990s. He continues to release prolifically, with new material landing as recently as June 2026. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/mangabey#artistas) 5.2M Total plays & views Projects20 Since2022 Verified streams · verified today 5,208,104 +388 a day · +12 K a month, on average 20 projects · 10 artists · since 2022 spotify 100 % 5,208,104 83 days · Total ## Records [30K has passed 30,000 streams On en Etait La Mangabey 99 days ago](https://obra.art/mangabey/on-en-etait-la) Most played ## Most played [01 GUFM - Folamour Remix Mangabey, Felipe Gordon 4.616.512 4,6 M](https://obra.art/mangabey/gufm-folamour-remix) [02 Tell Me Something True - Pontchartrain Remix Mangabey, Felipe Gordon 187.060 187 K](https://obra.art/mangabey/tell-me-something-true-pontchartrain-remix) [03 Attente Instable Mangabey 61.405 61 K](https://obra.art/mangabey/attente-instable) [04 Myldon Mangabey 55.669 56 K](https://obra.art/mangabey/myldon) [05 On en Etait La Mangabey 30.529 31 K](https://obra.art/mangabey/on-en-etait-la) [06 Six Figures Check Mangabey 22.072 22 K](https://obra.art/mangabey/six-figures-check) [07 Attente Instable - Antoine Bourachot Remix Mangabey 21.274 21 K](https://obra.art/mangabey/attente-instable-antoine-bourachot-remix) [08 French Cheese Mangabey 14.708 15 K](https://obra.art/mangabey/french-cheese-2) [09 So Special EG, Mangabey 14.435 14 K](https://obra.art/mangabey/so-special-2) [10 Dumble Face Mangabey 11.134 11 K](https://obra.art/mangabey/dumble-face) Has worked with ## 10 artists.
