Fort Romeau

Bio

Fort Romeau is the project of British producer and DJ Michael Greene. Born in Chester and raised in Oxfordshire, he cut his teeth as a touring member of electro-pop duo La Roux before launching Fort Romeau as a solo venture in 2012 with the acclaimed debut album 'Kingdoms' on 100% Silk. Across releases for Ghostly International ('Insides', 'Beings of Light'), Permanent Vacation, Running Back and Live At Robert Johnson, his sound weaves together deep house, kraut, ambient, techno and italo-disco into warm, emotive long-form club music. In 2015 he co-founded the label Cin Cin with Ali Tillett. Now based in Berlin, he remains highly active: the 'Come Closer EP' arrived in April 2026, following the 'El Fantasma / El Espíritu' single with Gold Panda in January 2026. He also records as C.Y.M. alongside Vampire Weekend's Chris Baio and as The Violet Hour with Massimiliano Pagliara.
