Born in Chester and raised in Oxfordshire, he cut his teeth as a touring member of electro-pop duo La Roux before launching Fort Romeau as a solo venture in 2012 with the acclaimed debut album 'Kingdoms' on 100% Silk. Across releases for Ghostly International ('Insides', 'Beings of Light'), Permanent Vacation, Running Back and Live At Robert Johnson, his sound weaves together deep house, kraut, ambient, techno and italo-disco into warm, emotive long-form club music. In 2015 he co-founded the label Cin Cin with Ali Tillett. Now based in Berlin, he remains highly active: the 'Come Closer EP' arrived in April 2026, following the 'El Fantasma / El Espíritu' single with Gold Panda in January 2026. He also records as C.Y.M. alongside Vampire Weekend's Chris Baio and as The Violet Hour with Massimiliano Pagliara. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/fort-romeau#artistas) 8.9M Total plays & views Projects20 Since2022 Verified streams · verified today 8,903,744 +2 K a day · +63 K a month, on average 20 projects · 13 artists · since 2022 spotify 100 % 8,903,744 88 days · Total ## Records [60K has passed 60,000 streams Every Man Has Your Voice Fort Romeau 26 days ago](https://obra.art/fort-romeau/every-man-has-your-voice) [60K has passed 60,000 streams Every Man Has Your Voice Fort Romeau 26 days ago](https://obra.art/fort-romeau/every-man-has-your-voice-2) [30K has passed 30,000 streams U R My Love - EDIT Fort Romeau 28 days ago](https://obra.art/fort-romeau/u-r-my-love-edit) [700K has passed 700,000 streams Dive Fort Romeau, Pale Blue, Rebolledo 51 days ago](https://obra.art/fort-romeau/dive-2) Most played ## Most played [01 The Truth Fort Romeau, Ron Trent 2.369.735 2,4 M](https://obra.art/fort-romeau/the-truth) [02 Reset Fort Romeau, Massimiliano Pagliara, Coloray 2.142.111 2,1 M](https://obra.art/fort-romeau/reset) [03 On Your Own (feat.
