Proppa is a Chicago-born DJ and producer (real name Jonah) working at the intersection of bass house, tech house, and underground club music, with drum & bass and hip-hop woven into his DNA. He is best known for his "Proppa Treatment" remix series, which reimagines hip-hop and dance tracks into bass-forward club anthems built on chunky low-end and the kinetic drum energy of Chicago's club culture. Over the years he has released on labels including Spinnin' Records, Vicious Recordings, and Hood Politics Records, and his catalog features a club-mix collaboration on Sean Paul's "Temperature." His breakthrough came through SoundCloud edits and relentless festival and club play, after he studied Recording Industry Studies at Butler University. With roughly 385,000 monthly Spotify listeners and a steady stream of 2026 releases, Proppa is a hard-working mid-tier club producer actively expanding his catalog and fanbase.
