Flughand is the lo-fi beats project of Berlin-born, Leipzig-based producer and filmmaker Florian Döring. After a mid-'90s hip-hop awakening pulled him away from uptempo dance music and into downtempo beat-making, he started out on an MPC 500 before settling into Native Instruments Maschine, the setup he still uses today. He released his debut album 'F.Stop' in 2013, but it was 2016's 'EXPEDITion Vol. 7: Moonloops' that broke him through to the international lo-fi scene. His sound threads dusty hip-hop drums through jazz samples and warm, melancholic melodies, treating the mixing stage as an integral part of the craft rather than a final polish. Across more than 60 releases his catalogue has gathered over 30 million streams, and he remains a fixture of the Leipzig beat scene with regular drops on Bandcamp and NTS Radio.
