ymprl (pronounced "im·peeuh·ree·uhl") is an electronic artist and record producer from Sofia, Bulgaria—the project of Martin Nikolov. Shaped by the SoundCloud golden era, he draws on Kaytranada, Troyboi, Flume and Kenny Beats, merging future bass energy with lush melodies into an experimental bounce that's hard to classify. After a year studying music production at BIMM Berlin, he joined Bulgaria's Sound Ninja school and has spent years producing for the country's pop, hip-hop and R&B scene while building his own catalog. His 2023 EP Daydreaming with Victor Aithen surpassed 10 million streams, earned BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM Chill rotation, and landed Apple Music, Tidal and Deezer editorials. In 2026 he returned with Shooting Stars and the dreamdvst alias, releasing Daydreaming II on Stereofox in May—a downtempo sequel built for late nights and slow mornings.
