Hudgins) is a Pasadena, California producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who has been a driving force in modern funk since the early 2000s. Blending 80s boogie and disco, 90s G-funk, house and synth-pop, he co-founded and runs MoFunk Records, the Los Angeles label that helped define the modern-funk movement. He also founded Salt Box Records, the funk-centric record shop he opened in LA's Chinatown in 2017, co-hosts the monthly Pop Lock Funk club night, and organizes the annual Modern Funk Fest. A prolific keyboardist and beatmaker with dozens of albums, EPs and singles to his name, his recent work folds socially conscious lyricism about gentrification and homelessness into his signature laid-back grooves. He is a longtime collaborator with Soul Clap, FSQ, Zackey Force Funk and fellow Pasadena artist Moniquea, and has shared the studio with G-funk luminaries Domino and Kokane. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton#artistas) 2.1M Total plays & views Projects20 Since2024 Verified streams · verified today 2,131,634 +798 a day · +24 K a month, on average 20 projects · 13 artists · since 2024 spotify 100 % 2,131,634 83 days · Total ## Records [600K has passed 600,000 streams Keep It Funkin' XL Middleton 17 days ago](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/keep-it-funkin) [20K has passed 20,000 streams Funkin' Me Up Milk Talk, XL Middleton 23 days ago](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/funkin-me-up) [60K has passed 60,000 streams Feel Me XL Middleton, Ivan Makvel, Moniquea 42 days ago](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/feel-me) [30K has passed 30,000 streams Sacrifice - XL Middleton Remix The Vapor Caves, XL Middleton 61 days ago](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/sacrifice-xl-middleton-remix) Most played ## Most played [01 Keep It Funkin' XL Middleton 600.196 600 K](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/keep-it-funkin) [02 Bumpin' XL Middleton 208.857 209 K](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/bumpin) [03 Do Me Like That XL Middleton 197.830 198 K](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/do-me-like-that) [04 High On Your Love XL Middleton 181.295 181 K](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/high-on-your-love) [05 Love When It Comes Down To It XL Middleton 124.975 125 K](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/love-when-it-comes-down-to-it) [06 Psychic XL Middleton 97.814 98 K](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/psychic) [07 Psychic (The Egyptian Lover Remix) XL Middleton 81.238 81 K](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/psychic-the-egyptian-lover-remix) [08 Feel Me XL Middleton, Ivan Makvel, Moniquea 62.376 62 K](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/feel-me) [09 Serious (Midnight Drift Revamp) XL Middleton, Kazzey 62.053 62 K](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/serious-midnight-drift-revamp) [10 Let's Get In Touch XL Middleton, Mishell Ivon 54.086 54 K](https://obra.art/xlmiddleton/lets-get-in-touch) Has worked with ## 13 artists.
