Whiney is the alias of Will Hine, a drum & bass producer and DJ from Coventry, UK, signed to Hospital Records and its sister label Med School Music. Classically trained on violin and piano from age 7 (Grade 8 in both, with over twelve years in choirs and orchestras), he discovered drum & bass at 14 and signed his first track 'No More' to Hospital at age 18. He first turned heads in 2012 with the 'Sweetest Sin' EP on Subsphere alongside longtime friend and now label-mate Keeno. His 2017 debut album 'Talisman' earned three Drum & Bass Arena Award nominations — Best Newcomer, Best Album, and Best Track for the anthem 'Flashlight' feat. MC Inja. Subsequent albums 'Waystone' (2018) and 'Streets, Love & Other Stuff' (2023), the long-running 'Bubblers' EP series and a string of collaborations with grime MC P Money have cemented him as one of the scene's most respected producers — known for blending grime, garage and drum & bass into his own signature sound.
