Westend (Tyler Morris) is a New York City DJ and producer who helped draft the blueprint for the sound of modern American tech house. He broke into the scene in 2016 and is currently ranked among Beatport's top ten best-selling tech house artists, with releases on tastemaker labels including Repopulate Mars, Insomniac Records, Solotoko, Techne, Club Sweat and Armada. His hit "Jumpin'" with fellow New Yorker CID dominated the charts and landed in the crates of MK, Diplo, Lee Foss, John Summit and Sonny Fodera. Beyond his own records, Westend is a prolific producer-for-others and educator: he runs the independent tech house label Trace Amounts (founded 2023) for up-and-coming talent and the Kick & Bass production community of 160+ producers, having mentored over a hundred artists. He regularly plays EDC, CRSSD, Shambhala and The Brooklyn Mirage.
