Walter The Producer is the alias of Reid, a 21-year-old producer and artist born and raised on the south shore of Massachusetts and now based in Brooklyn, New York. He started playing guitar and piano at 10 and was producing his own beats by 13, eventually choosing the alias 'Walter' as a nod to Mac Miller's producer pseudonym Larry Fisherman. His sound blends indie rock, disco-pop and alt-R&B, drawing on influences from Anderson .Paak and Tame Impala to Steve Lacy, late-period Daft Punk and Childish Gambino. After viral early singles 'Velma' and 'Since September' (600K+ streams) he dropped his 'No Substance Mixtape' (July 2023), followed by the album 'PLEASE HELP ME I'M SCARED' (June 2024) and 2025's EP 'Modern Rock'. He has been featured in BMI's Indie Spotlight series, played by Zane Lowe, and covered by OnesToWatch, The Luna Collective, Melodic Magazine and American Pancake.
