Bio

Venz is a Producer/DJ from Sheffield, UK, and one of the core bassline artists on Off Me Nut Records — the independent Sheffield rave label behind the city's underground 140 and bassline scene. Known in release copy as Captain DJ Venz (and DJ Venable), he delivers raw Sheffield bassline, UK garage, and breakcore with the heavy low-end skanks that define Off Me Nut's sound. His 2026 Bacteria EP (June 2026) teams him with Melbourne's Boxxy alongside remixes from label-mates Phatworld and More Fool U, following the 2025 Down For The Party EP with remixes from Dankle, Dr. Oscillator, and Jenny Sparks. He plays Sheffield venues like Hope Works and Dryad Works, and his tracks land on Beatport via Off Me Nut, Crucast, Exert, and Bassboat. With 45+ tracks on Spotify spanning singles, EPs, and compilations, Venz documents the city's rave circuit through Instagram @venz_omn.
