Vanyfox
Vanyfox is the project of Paulo Alexandre, an Angolan-born DJ and producer whose music bridges Lisbon's batida scene and the Afro-diasporic club underground in Paris. His sound fuses kuduro, kizomba, zouk, and UK funky into high-impact batida built around his signature tag "AHM, O VANYFOX!" — percussive, body-first club music that has earned him spots on Enchufada Na Zona Vol. 2, Boukan Records, and collaborations with Moonshine. After growing up between Casal de Cambra and Reims, he returned to Lisbon's orbit with support from Branko (Buraka Som Sistema) and Bamao Yendé, performing at Boiler Room, Primavera Sound, MUTEK, Dour, and Osheaga. His 2025 EP Melodias E Choros and April 2026 single Moh Bechona keep a relentless release pace, while editorial features in Bandcamp Daily and Songlines position him as one of batida's fastest-rising producers.
