Unwind Project
Unwind Project is a seamless fusion of jazz, instrumental hip-hop, and electronica led by Patrick Canal — an Amsterdam-based producer and bassist who grew the act from an Italian duo he formed with pianist Paolo during lockdown. Debuting with "Meadow Rain" in 2021, the project built momentum through Chillhop Music's Essentials Fall 2023 compilation, editorial placements on Spotify (Jazzy Beats, Mellow Beats, lofi beats) and Apple Music (Lo-Fi Jazz, Morning Focus), and radio support from Soho Radio and Prun. The 2025 debut album Lovers on the Edge of Tomorrow (Radio Juicy) and 2026 Stereofox EP Finding My Way — featuring Two Scents and Mauricesax — mark a bigger chapter, with singles like "Bruin Café" and "Corn Field" keeping a near-monthly release cadence in 2026. Collaborators include Paul Grant, Ian Ewing, Elijah Lee, and Gas Lab; music has appeared in a Prada commercial. Patrick crafts warm basslines, layered DAW production, and jazz-hop grooves designed to unwind listeners — exactly the kind of catalog where public Spotify/YouTube stream receipts help prove momentum beyond editorial playlists.
