Tuggawar is an international Hip-Hop and Dancehall artist-producer from Hackney, London. The son of Greek and Irish parents, he earned the nickname "WAR GAAD" from his sound-clash performances as a serious deejay. He produces and records his own music at his own Pro-Tools studio in Hackney, releasing through his label Tugg Movements. His sound captures the essence of London's streets — a distinctive mix of UK rap, grime and drill influences layered over dancehall and reggae foundations, with forays into jungle and bass. Extremely prolific, he has put out 230+ releases including standout tracks like "Bazooka", "Dem Ah Pussy", "Hyena" and "Clap Dem", and continues to drop new music almost weekly into 2026.
