threetwenty is a Los Angeles–based neo-soul duo formed by Nigerian-American singer-songwriter Ivana Nwokike — formerly one half of the acclaimed R&B duo VanJess — and Swedish producer Filip Hunter. The pair met in Los Angeles on March 20, 2018, married in 2022, and launched threetwenty in 2024, taking their name from the date they met. Filip Hunter produces the project, building warm, sample-inflected beds that draw on 90s R&B, hip-hop and jazz beneath Ivana's vocals, while the songwriting leans contemplative and spiritually rooted. After a run of singles beginning with 2024's 'Faith is Substance', they released their debut album 'separate from the noise' in December 2025 via their own independent label, New Century Sound, following it with the single 'such is life' in March 2026. The duo has been spotlighted by Stereofox, Metal Magazine, GRM Daily and Mi-Soul as one of neo-soul's most promising new acts, and currently draws around 183,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
