Bio

Theology Bukwane Mathebula, known professionally as Theology HD, is a South African DJ and music producer from Midrand. Quietly producing since 2008, he broke through on the amapiano scene in 2022 with 'Mama's Love' alongside Moonchild Sanelly and the Red Bull Music–campaign anchor 'iSegazini' featuring Moonchild Sanelly and Aymos. His sound fuses Afropop, Afrotech, and amapiano — characterized by catchy rhythms, robust basslines and soaring melodies that emphasize community and connection on the dancefloor. Notable collaborations span Moonchild Sanelly ('Kokokokoko' with Jidenna, 'Covivi'), Aymos ('Ngoxolo'), and other South African heavyweights. Across 65+ releases on Spotify spanning the 'private school piano,' 'gqom,' '3 step,' 'afro tech,' and 'afro house' subgenres, he is a prolific output — his latest single 'Uzopopa' dropped May 1, 2026, and he sits at ~100,000 monthly listeners with 29k followers.
