ProducerComposerMulti-instrumentalist
thds is a Belgian-Portuguese composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Belgium whose work transcends straightforward categorisation. He describes his sound as slow, jazzy-ethnic electronica — reviving traditional music with modern electronic twists and blending minimal pop with abstract sound design, all composed live across many instruments rather than samples or loops. Active since 2018, he has released on respected imprints including Akumandra (New York), Lee Burridge-adjacent Sol Selectas (Los Angeles) and Berlin's iconic Bar25, where his debut album 'Rêves' landed. His music leans into slower tempos that make space for introspection, weaving environmental and personal themes throughout, and he performs internationally with shows in Amsterdam, Paris, Istanbul and Portugal. Recent singles 'Gratidão' (May 2026) and 'Felix' (April 2026, Bar25) keep him in steady rotation.
