Terry Hunter is a legendary Chicago-born DJ, producer, and remixer with over four decades in house music. Introduced to music by his DJ father, he built a following through neighborhood parties before breaking through at Hummingbird Dance Club as a teenager. He performed at historic Chicago venues including La Mirage and The Powerhouse, before entering music production in 1990 with his debut 'Madness.' Over the years he has produced and remixed tracks for Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly, Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Hudson, and Beyonce (his remix of 'Break My Soul' became a global house anthem). Terry is a three-time Grammy-nominated DJ/Producer and NAACP award winner. In 2004 he launched T's Box Records to develop the next generation of house talent, and he co-founded Mirror Ball Recordings with Emmaculate to release original Chicago house music. He became the first new member of the Chosen Few DJs in almost 30 years when inducted in 2006. His Mirror Ball residency at Rooftop at The Wit in Chicago has become a beloved monthly gathering.
