Tekniq (Thabang Ntuli) is a South African music producer, DJ, studio engineer and music-production lecturer with a catalogue spanning more than 12 years of Afro House, Afro Tech and 3-Step. After earning a Sound Engineering diploma at Emendy Multimedia Institute in 2012, he released album and EP work via Cabana, Ocha Records and House Africa/Sony licensing, then founded his independent label Abstract Mood Music — home to his album LIBRAH and later singles. He is credited with shaping the “Broken Beat” wave of South African house that dominated radio and clubs around 2013–2016, earned a PTA Hall of Fame Outstanding Producer nomination, and hosted Tshwane FM’s House of House show. Recent 2026 releases include Concerto (May) and the My Life / The Garden pairing (June), plus a feature on Mayonie’s Evolution of Afro House project.
