Bio

Stu Bangas (aka Stu Ferrigno, Stuart Hudgins) is a Boston-based underground hip-hop producer and beatmaker celebrated for gritty, cinematic boom bap instrumentals with hard drums and sample-heavy East Coast energy. A founding member of the Brutal Music label collective alongside Vanderslice, he has built a deep catalog of collaborative albums with underground elites including A.G. (D.I.T.C.), Wordsworth, A-F-R-O, Apathy, Recognize Ali, and Blaq Poet, plus his Brutal Beats instrumental series. Influenced by DJ Premier, Havoc, and The Alchemist, his production style is synonymous with hardcore lyricism and raw, battle-ready soundscapes. Recent 2026 releases include the vinyl LP "Selfy" with A.G., the Wordsworth album "Chemistry," and the June single "Great Muta Mist(WWPD)." Beyond records, he sells exclusive beats, drum kits, and sample packs through brutalmusic.org, Beatstars, and Patreon.
