SPAG is the next chapter of Dutch bass producer Mischa Reining, previously known worldwide as Spag Heddy. Since 2011 he has built a catalog of hard-hitting dubstep, riddim, drumstep, and bass music that helped define the heavier side of the 2010s scene, with festival sets and support from artists like Skrillex, Excision, Subtronics, and NGHTMRE. In 2026 he shortened the alias to SPAG, sharpening a darker visual identity and releasing the THIS IS: SPAG EP on Kannibalen, followed by fresh singles like BONK and Oh My! (Calcium Remix). His sound still centers melodic themes and aggressive drops—rooted in the punk and skate energy he grew up with—while aiming to reintroduce golden-era brostep songwriting to a new generation of listeners.
