He picked up the guitar at 10 and started making hip-hop beats at 15, later cofounding the Upstate New York collective Entreband, whose label released his early music. In 2019 he signed with Island Records, which put out his EP B.L.I.S.S. ("Because Love Is So Special"); the self-produced single "Crush" became a streaming hit.
