Sorza is the solo alias of Amsterdam-based electronic producer Roeland van Rijnberk, working at the experimental edge of bass music and electronica. The name derives from the Basque word "sorkuntza" (creation). Influenced by the Los Angeles beats scene — Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, Tsuruda, The Gaslamp Killer — he builds concept-driven projects rather than one-off singles, often at half-time tempos and labeled left-field bass. His debut album I IDENTIFY (2021, Alpha Pup) established his sonic identity; 2024's Pillars on VISION became a multigenre exploration of organic and digital palettes, followed by Pillars (Rebuilt) in August 2025 with remixes from admired peers. March 2026 brought a Sorza remix of Scott Walker's "Farmer In The City." Featured in FUXWITHIT's Breakout Producers of 2024, he performs audio-visual live sets designed to immerse audiences in flow states rather than pure club utility.
