Bio

Sleepy Fish is a US-based lo-fi and chillhop producer who has been part of the Chillhop Music family since its early days. His sound is atmospheric, aquatic-themed instrumental hip-hop that blends warm jazz chords, mellow drums and ambient textures into immersive, cinematic beat tapes. He broke through with a loosely connected trilogy of records — 'My Room Becomes The Sea' (2019), 'Beneath Your Waves' (2020) and 'Everything Fades to Blue' (2020) — that became staples of the lo-fi study/relax scene. He followed it with the lush 'Like the Sky, or Something Else' (2021) and the collaborative 'A Note from my Book' (2022, made with fellow lo-fi artist coa). Sleepy Fish keeps releasing standalone singles into 2026, including 'Tetherohtether', 'Spirit Box', 'Outside, Inside' and 'Guitar Shop'. With around 177,000 monthly listeners and a deep catalog spread across major chillhop playlists and 24/7 radio streams, he is one of the most recognizable voices in modern jazzhop.
