Simina Grigoriu
Romanian-born, Toronto-bred Simina Grigoriu is a Berlin-based techno DJ, producer, and label boss who has spent more than a decade on the European circuit. After cutting her teeth in Toronto clubs and studying classical violin and keyboard, she transitioned from DJ to producer and founded Kuukou Records in 2016 — a home for forward techno that has released Hito, Torsten Kanzler, Gallya, Alfred Heinrichs, and Lilly Palmer. Her own catalog spans Sonat Records, OFF Recordings, We Are The Brave, and Adam Beyer's Drumcode, where 2023's "Flight Tracker" became a career milestone and June 2026's Frame Control EP keeps her on the imprint's current release slate. Equally at home in the studio and behind the decks, she has played Deichbrand, World Club Dome, Untold, Love Parade, and Ushuaïa Ibiza while maintaining a prolific release cadence through 2025–2026 singles like Partners of Destiny, Drenched, and Equanimity.
