San Mateo Drive is a melodic house project by American producer, musician, and multi-instrumentalist Mateo Gonzalez. His artist name and melodically driven road-trip vibes are inspired by living and traveling along the Northern California coastline, blending nostalgia with a mature progressive sound shaped by his upbringing as a classically trained violinist who later taught himself guitar. Born just outside New York City, he spent years honing his craft DJing throughout NYC before building a prolific electronic catalog since 2012, weaving acoustic textures into club-ready productions. Support from Nora En Pure, Sultan + Shepard, Jerro, Mees Salomé, Nora Van Elken, and UOAK has brought SiriusXM Chill spins and global radio play.
