Bio

Roska is the production alias of Wayne Goodlitt, a London-based DJ and producer widely credited as one of the founding architects of UK funky. Since the initial boom of underground electronic music in the UK, he has been a leading niche authority on and off the decks, running his own imprints Roska Kicks & Snares and RKS Dubz while also releasing under aliases including Bakongo and Uncle Bakongo. His production style shifts between stripped-back, percussion-driven rollers and more club-influenced vocal cuts, always with a recognizable rhythmic punch that has earned support across the UK, USA and Japan. Albums such as Peace (2022) and Perception (2018) sit alongside a prolific catalogue of singles and EPs; 2026 brings collaborations with Snowy on Stop & Wave, Bryte on Living, and the Green Apple / T-800 single. A respected mentor and label head who still hosts regular Rinse FM shows, Roska remains one of the UK's most accomplished underground exponents with no intention of slowing down.
