Roman Flügel is one of Germany's most productive and respected electronic artists, active since the early 1990s. Born in Darmstadt in 1970 and based between Frankfurt and Berlin, he moves fluidly across acid techno, deep house, electro and more experimental, melodic strains over a catalog spanning more than three decades. A co-owner of the influential Frankfurt labels Klang Elektronik and Ongaku, he is equally renowned as a producer, DJ and remixer, having reworked artists as varied as Kylie Minogue and Daft Punk. His enduring solo work — released on tastemaker imprints including Dial and Live At Robert Johnson — blends club functionality with a distinctive sense of melody and craft. In May 2026 he returned with a new full-length album, 'Manifest,' continuing a release run of more than 70 records. He remains a fixture of the international club and festival circuit, from Berlin's clubs to MUTEK.
