Robbie Akbal is a Mexican DJ, producer and label owner now based in Berlin, and one of the longest-standing figures in the organic and melodic house scene. His sound fuses dreamy melodies, natural textures and earthy tribal percussion. In 2006 he founded Akbal Music — originally created in Playa del Carmen, Mexico — which has grown into a respected imprint for tech and deep house. Across his career he has been signed to and supported by Damian Lazarus' Crosstown Rebels, as well as Get Physical, Culprit, Sol Selectas, Kindisch and Klassified, with backing from artists like John Digweed and Anja Schneider. A prolific and consistently active producer with nearly 50 releases, he continues to drop new music almost every month — recent 2026 work includes 'Fanaya', 'Time Left' and 'Jungle Whisper'.
