Rob Apollo
Rob Apollo is an alternative rapper from Detroit's west side, blending witty bars, hard beats, and sharp cultural commentary in a lineage that draws from Tyler, the Creator, Rico Nasty, and Danny Brown. His writing weaves personal storytelling — including experiences with addiction recovery and life online — with broader cultural critique, delivered with swagger, humor, and precision. He has scored a #1 TikTok trending song (March 2024) and racked up tens of millions of video views across platforms in the past year, with press features in Pitchfork, iHeartRadio, On the Radar, and Detroit Metro Times. His catalog spans four LPs — most recently 'cigarettes at church' (2026) and 'NSFW 3: Redhead Jackass' (2025) — plus a near-monthly stream of singles. He's a three-time headliner of NSFW Festival in Detroit and has shared stages with ZelooperZ, Pink Siifu, and HiTech, and was nominated for Best New Artist at the Slumfest Awards. Self-described as 'born in Detroit, raised by the internet — chaotic alt-rap for the digital age.'
