He began musical training at age seven on bass and in classical music before moving through jazz, hip-hop and electronic genres — a journey that shows in his refreshing, raw sound, where deep, immersive beats draw on hip-hop, jazz, soul and funk while looking to the future and paying tribute to the past. Over the last few years he has released on a string of respected underground labels including Wolf Music, Rhythm Section, Heist Recordings, Love on the Rocks, Healthy Scratch and Handy Records. His music has earned strong support from BBC Radio 1, NTS Radio, Worldwide FM, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Phonica, Ransom Note and 5 Magazine, and he has performed at major stages and clubs including Glastonbury, Dekmantel, Fabric and Lowlands. His 2026 run includes the 'Choices Vol. 1' EP and the 'Can't Go' single alongside a steady stream of remixes. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/retromigration#artistas) 886.4K Total plays & views Projects20 Since2024 Verified streams · verified today 886,423 +1 K a day · +32 K a month, on average 20 projects · 15 artists · since 2024 spotify 100 % 886,423 83 days · Total ## Records [10K has passed 10,000 streams Flu Retromigration 33 days ago](https://obra.art/retromigration/flu) [20K has passed 20,000 streams Hot Sauce Retromigration 38 days ago](https://obra.art/retromigration/hot-sauce) [20K has passed 20,000 streams Hurt Retromigration 42 days ago](https://obra.art/retromigration/hurt) [10K has passed 10,000 streams Choices Retromigration 46 days ago](https://obra.art/retromigration/choices) Most played ## Most played [01 Intervention Mauricesax, Retromigration 243.185 243 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/intervention) [02 Half Fried Retromigration 184.595 185 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/half-fried-2) [03 Hot Sauce Retromigration 23.719 24 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/hot-sauce) [04 Hurt Retromigration 21.057 21 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/hurt) [05 New Days Retromigration, Niklas Wandt 17.443 17 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/new-days) [06 NE Retromigration 16.848 17 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/ne) [07 40 oz Retromigration 16.737 17 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/40-oz) [08 Industry Retromigration 16.608 17 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/industry) [09 Regionale - Retromigration Remix JKriv, Jason Lindner, Retromigration 16.297 16 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/regionale-retromigration-remix) [10 Where Is The Acid Retromigration 15.496 15 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/where-is-the-acid-2) Has worked with ## 15 artists. and 1 more Catalog ## 20 releases. 2026 6 [After FourMonokultur, Hessy, Retromigration · 21 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/after-four) [Choices Vol. 1 - EPRetromigration · 58 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/choices-vol-1-ep) 58 K [Som Na Caixa - Retromigration Remix - EditRetromigration · 4 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/som-na-caixa-retromigration-remix-edit) [Regionale - Retromigration RemixJKriv, Jason Lindner, Retromigration · 16 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/regionale-retromigration-remix) [Can’t Go (Amor Satyr & Siu Mata Remix)Retromigration, Amor Satyr, Siu Mata · 26 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/cant-go-amor-satyr-and-siu-mata-remix) [Can’t GoRetromigration · 29 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/cant-go) 2025 11 [Where Is The AcidRetromigration · 25 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/where-is-the-acid) [Half FriedRetromigration · 218 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/half-fried) 218 K [Ausfahrt 9Retromigration · 59 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/ausfahrt-9) 59 K [Je t'aimeZopelar, L’HOMME STATUE, Retromigration · 13 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/je-taime) [LSD (Remixes)Laroie, Lunice, Retromigration · 12 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/lsd-remixes) [ChangeRetromigration · 28 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/change) [First PulseMerel Helderman, Retromigration · 19 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/first-pulse) [FretRetromigration · 14 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/fret) [40 ozRetromigration · 17 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/40-oz) [Mineral HouseRetromigration, Niklas Wandt · 53 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/mineral-house) 53 K [Mister K (Edit)Retromigration, Niklas Wandt · 11 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/mister-k-edit) 2024 3 [TornadoRetromigration, Monty DJ · 5 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/tornado) [InterventionMauricesax, Retromigration · 243 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/intervention) [Mundo EPRetromigration · 14 K](https://obra.art/retromigration/mundo-ep) Catalog · Notes · Curatorial Bio Retromigration is a producer and DJ, German-born (Heidelberg) and Amsterdam-based, with Nigerian and Ghanaian roots.
