Rachel Baiman is a Chicago-born fiddle player, singer-songwriter, and record producer based in Nashville, Tennessee. She relocated to Nashville at 18 and has since built a reputation as one of the city's most versatile and politically engaged Americana artists. An Illinois State Fiddle champion at 17, she produced her own acclaimed 2023 album 'Common Nation of Sorrow,' named one of the best albums of the year by The Boston Globe, which explores stories of American capitalism and community. Her debut solo album 'Shame' (2017) was produced by Andrew Marlin (Watchhouse). She has worked as a session musician and live collaborator for Kacey Musgraves, Kevin Morby, Molly Tuttle, Kelsey Waldon, Caroline Spence, and Amy Ray. In 2024, she launched an acclaimed series of A-side/B-side collaborative singles with songwriters including Pony Bradshaw, Caroline Spence, and Nicholas Jamerson, with 'Dominoes' reaching 100,000 streams in its first month. Her 2025 album 'Kissing Other ppl' and ongoing output demonstrate sustained creative momentum.
