Quinn Oulton is a London-based multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer who blends a deep jazz foundation with contemporary R&B and alt-pop. He grew up in Wandsworth, south-west London, training on saxophone at World Heart Beat Academy and going on to study at the Royal Academy of Music alongside peers like Hohnen Ford and Jacob Collier. By his early teens he was already playing with UK jazz pioneers including Moses Boyd, Theon Cross and Soweto Kinch. A friendship with KNOWER's Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi nudged him into songwriting and self-production, leading to his debut self-titled EP in 2017 and his 2022 debut album 'Alexithymia' (Deluxe in 2023). Critics compare his sound to a meeting point between James Blake, Tom Misch and Sampha — intricate harmony, layered vocals and sax-driven textures sitting under accessible alt-R&B songwriting.
