Bio

Powel is a Berlin-based DJ and producer, originally from a small town in East Germany, known across the organic and melodic house scene for richly musical productions and remixes. He learned piano as a child and performed for years with bands and an orchestra before starting to DJ in 2008, seasoning his deep-but-not-dark house with indie, rock and pop roots and influences drawn from the folk music of Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. He is a long-standing member of Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream family and has released on All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep and Satya, including the album 'The Beauty Of A Polaroid' (2020). Powel has toured the world as a headline DJ, appearing at the Robot Heart bus at Burning Man, Germany's Fusion Festival and All Day I Dream parties globally, while his work spans everything from afterhour club tracks to documentary film scores. He remains highly active, with a steady run of 2026 singles including 'For the Rain' (May 2026), 'Hundraðfalt' and 'Lullaby For Eyebrights'.
