Bio

Poirier (Ghislain Poirier) is a Montreal-based producer, DJ and composer who has spent over 25 years crafting warm, eclectic electronic music built to connect languages and communities on the dancefloor. A prolific artist with twelve albums to his name, he made his reputation on Ninja Tune and across the global-bass underground, fusing dancehall, soca, moombahton, hip-hop and club rhythms into a singular sound. He has performed in more than 30 countries at major festivals and runs the long-running Montreal party Qualite de Luxe, now over a decade strong. His latest album, Quiet Revolution (2024), pushed his palette toward more melodic, acoustic-leaning territory, and he returned in 2026 with the single "Hikikomori." Poirier is confirmed to play MUTEK Montreal in August 2026. Independent, active and deeply networked with collaborators worldwide, he's a working producer whose releases and bookings would benefit from public, real-time streaming receipts.
