phritz (a.k.a. Tai Hirose) is a Japanese producer and one-sixth of the acclaimed Tokyo hyperpop collective PAS TASTA. His solo music moves fluidly across electronic, hyperpop and ambient, and more recently into indie pop and folk, pairing glitchy, maximalist textures with melodic, emotive songwriting. He has been championed by Porter Robinson, who has supported tracks including phritz's cover of 'Look at the Sky' and 'change my mind.' Beyond his own catalogue he composed 'Tentaizu (天体図)' for idol group Sandrio and has collaborated with artists such as Pasocom Music Club. PAS TASTA — formed in 2022 alongside producers Amane Uyama, Hirihiri, Kabanagu, Quoree and Yuigot — released their debut album 'Good Pop' in 2023 to wide acclaim, featuring guests like Soushi Sakiyama and Mamiko Suzuki of Chelmico. phritz releases prolifically across Bandcamp, SoundCloud and streaming, with his latest single 'Outline' arriving in May 2026.
